Handmade of vitreous high temperature stoneware clay that is fired to 2300 degrees Fahrenheit, Gustin Tile is a hard, durable tile, ideal for most architectural applications, including floors, walls, kitchen counters and backsplashes, bathrooms, shower and tub enclosures, entry ways, patios and pools.

Using glazes that are dependent upon the thickness of their application for glaze color, there is a rich and varied surface from tile to tile, insuring that no two ceramic tiles are the same. This natural glaze surface adds to the warmth of any living space as well as setting off furniture and art objects alike. There is a sense of scale and materiality, both in the ceramic tile itself and in the design sensibility, that comes from Chris' years of experience in making sculptural pottery.

Gustin Ceramics offers handmade ceramic tile in a range of sizes, from a 12 inch floor tile to 3 inch bath tile. We have a choice of fifty glazes, including earth tones, blues, greens, and neutrals. Custom ceramic tile sizes, glaze colors and sculptural installations such as fireplace surrounds are also available by special order.
