Exhibition, Raffle and On-line Auction
The Benefit Exhibition will open the evening of December 10.
with food and drink, cullminating with the Gala Pottery Raffle.
The on-line auction will run from December 1-December 10.
We've invited 100 of the best potters from around
the country to send work
to be fired in the Anagama Wood Kiln this past June and October. Each has generously
donated theirwork to support the facilities and programs of the Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts.
Watershed is a premier arts center located
in Newcastle, Maine. It's mission is to provide both time
and space
for artists to work in clay. An international program located in
the beautiful coastal
Boothbay region of Maine, Watershed offers
residencies for artists to explore new ideas and
possibilities within
their work.
All proceeds from this event will go to help fund the
programs and facilities at Watershed .
100% of all sales from the Raffle and On-line Auction will go to benefit Watershed!

A select group of pieces from the firing will be auctioned on-line.
Works will be uploaded to the site thru November. Check the site often to see what's new.
Auction Updates
The Watershed Benefit Exhibition
December 10-30, 2011
The exhibition will open on December 10th, showcasing the work of 100 artists
from the US and Canada . We have fired two wood kilns to accomodate all the work,
one in June, the other in early October. The exhibition will be curated from these two firings.
All sales will go to support Watershed.
The October kiln will unloaded on October 29th.
We'll unload
the kilns at 9 am so join us for a preview of the work.
The Pottery Raffle
December 10th,
begins at 6:30 PM
We are selling 150 tickets for the raffle, which can be purchased thru my studio
at any point up until the moment we call the first raffle number.
150 pots will be raffled off, with each ticket purchaser
getting to choose
their pieceas their number is drawn. We've
invited some of the best potters from
around the country to participate,
so there'll be some wonderful pieces to choose from.
Buy a ticket,
hear your number, pick a pot! Everyone who purchases a ticket will receive a piece.
A "special" piece will be saved for last, going to the person with the 150th number!
Tickets can be bought by:
-Purchasing a ticket thru Watershed
- emailing me your request for tickets (Visa and MC)
- purchasing tickets at my studio
- calling my studio to request tickets
- purchasing tickets the day of the event (if there are any left!)

The Raffle ticket price is $50.
You do not need to attend to participate! A proxy (a Watershed Board member)
will pick a piece for you when your number is called, and we'll send it to you (shipping charges will apply).
